The Vladimir region of the Russian Federation came under drone attack this night. The strike there hit the “Volodymyrska” electrical substation, located on the outskirts of the regional center.
A fire broke out at the facility. The attack was reported, among other things, by the Russian independent publication ASTRA.

Towards Friday morning, residents of the Volodymyr region began publishing footage that captured the aftermath of a drone attack on the Volodymyrska electrical substation near Volodymyr. ASTRA conducted a geolocation analysis and confirmed that this particular facility was hit.


“Eyewitness footage of the moment of the attack on the city of Volodymyr and the region on the night of October 31 indicates that in the village of Energetyk, the blow fell on an electrical substation. According to ASTRA, the footage was shot in the area of Radionovka Street. The attacked substation is located on Energetykiv Street,” the report states.






ASTRA added that the Volodymyrska substation is a large energy facility in the region. Its installed capacity is about 4,010 MVA, according to the energybase website. The substation is a hub – numerous power transmission lines with a voltage of 110-750 kV depart from it, it serves the region’s power system.
Footage of the arrival also appeared online.
The attack was confirmed by local authorities.
“The enemy carried out an attack on infrastructure near the city of Volodymyr. All systems are now functioning normally. Specialists are working on site. The threat of a drone attack remains. Please exercise caution, information will be updated,” wrote the governor of Volodymyr region, Oleksandr Avdeev, at 04:20 Kyiv time.
