The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces , Robert (Magyar) Brody, said that his unit could have carried out seven times more strikes on military targets in Crimea if the funds promised by Western allies had arrived faster.

In an interview with AP, Magyar noted that Ukraine’s strikes on Crimea are the first stage of a campaign aimed at making the peninsula unsuitable as a foothold for Russian troops.

“Crimea is among the key conceptual pillars on the path to ending the war,” he emphasized.

At the same time, according to the commander, the SBS is equipped with only 14% of what is needed to conduct the Crimean campaign at full strength.

“It’s not that the production capacities of Ukrainian manufacturers do not allow us to produce the necessary number of drones. The problem lies in the banal delay in funding that our partners allocate, but which is coming much slower than we plan.”

Magyar stressed that his unit has destroyed more than 300 air defense assets in recent months – anti-aircraft missile systems, radar stations, electronic warfare equipment. He noted that during the four recent large-scale missile attacks by Russia from Crimea, only five missiles were fired, which was possible thanks to the systematic destruction of Russian air defense assets in the region.

Expelling Russia from Crimea

Much of Russia’s Soviet anti-aircraft artillery is powered by the power grid, which is one reason why Crimea’s electrical infrastructure has become a constant target. Wherever Starlink is available in Crimea, SBSs can now destroy even the most heavily defended targets using an average of just three drones and munitions with different characteristics and warheads depending on the target.

“Creating conditions that make it impossible to maintain any military capabilities… will make Crimea uninteresting… as a military bridgehead,” said Magyar.

Ukraine’s plan for Wildberries

“Wildberries is, first and foremost, a supply platform, a kind of quartermaster of war,” said Brody.

At the same time, according to him, the attacks on this retail chain are designed to make ordinary Russians experience the war directly.

Brody declined to give a timeframe for the campaign against Wildberries, saying only that the attacks would continue “until the company is able to quickly resume operations.”

“This turned out to be a sensitive indicator of the well-being of a huge part of the Russian population – people who consider themselves completely unaffected by the actions of the aggressor country,” he said.

Earlier, Brody named five conditions under which Russia’s war against Ukraine could end .

According to him, this will become possible if Russia physically loses its ability to pay for war, produce weapons, protect its rear, send manpower to slaughter, and maintain the illusion of stability and control within the country.
