Lukashenko becomes very talkative, but we don’t need his “kindness” at 4 AM with missiles – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has recently “become very talkative.” Zelenskyy emphasized that he will still pay for participating in the war against Ukraine.

He said this during a conversation with journalists, broadcast by Suspilne.

The President said that if there is a result, Ukraine will support any format of meetings to resolve the war. Except for russia and Belarus, as they are allies in the war against Ukraine.

“Lukashenko should not forget that he has become very talkative in the media and shows how kind he is to our people. We don’t need his kindness at 4:00 in the morning with the missiles that came – we don’t need it. And if he thinks that with his words he will jog our memory a little bit, we are young people, we remember everything very well,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian President emphasized that Lukashenko “will still pay for what he did.”

“Namely, he allowed an offensive from his territory. The beginning of a full-scale war came from the territory of Belarus. And no one will forget it,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

On November 6, Lukashenko visited the Belarusian city of Mozyr, located near the Ukrainian border, and opened a new bridge across the Pripyat River. He said that Ukraine is very close and at first he allegedly even rejected the offer to visit.

“I think, well, against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine, somehow we should be happy here and the president (self-proclaimed – ed.) should go… But I think Ukrainians will forgive me. We are connecting the shores for them as well,” he said.

Among other things, Lukashenko called on Ukrainians to come to Belarus: “We are open. Please come, Ukrainians. We will be happy to receive you.”

At the same time, in late October, Lukashenko confirmed his intention to put the russian ballistic missile system Oreshnik on alert as early as December 2025.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has offered Lithuania help in countering the threat from Belarus. The country’s airspace has recently been violated by Belarusian balloons.

At the same time, Belarus complained to the UN about the closure of the borders by Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.
