Alexander Lukashenko commented on how long he intends to remain in the chair of the President of Belarus.
He spoke about this on Friday, January 28, during the Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly, the state agency BELTA reports .
“Everything will depend on the situation. If they impose a war game on us – what elections, where will I go? I will take a machine gun and go ahead if necessary, although it will be wrong. The President has been assigned a place as commander in chief. And I will act,” – Lukashenko said.
At the same time, he added that if the situation is stable, he will be ready to leave his post.
“If everything is quiet, it’s good if our people live peacefully and develop – at any moment. I will be on the siding: call, tell me to help in something – I will help. Here are my approaches: sincerely and honestly, publicly on the whole country, the whole world,” Lukashenka said.
However, he admits that war is possible in two cases. One of them is if direct aggression is committed against Belarus, and the second reason for the war and participation of Belarus in it, Lukashenka called a possible attack on Russia.
“I want to answer the collective West whether there will be troops on the territory of Belarus. For them, this issue is very important. If our country is attacked, there will be hundreds of thousands of Russian troops here, who, together with hundreds of thousands of Belarusians, will defend this sacred land,” – also in within the framework of the Address, Lukashenko said.

Yeah, or “How long will you remain Putin’s lap dog?”
