Lemmy: Zelensky in Turkey demonstrates readiness for peace. Russia sent a low-level delegation

British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy said that the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey demonstrates a genuine commitment to peace.

Lemmy said this before the start of the informal summit of NATO foreign ministers in Antalya, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform .

Instead, Russia, he said, sent a low-level delegation to possible negotiations.

“We have gathered here with one single message – to support Ukraine and ensure a just, lasting and lasting peace,” the British minister emphasized.

He added that NATO countries are closely monitoring the development of peace initiatives and consider it important that Zelensky participates in them, while Russia has limited itself to sending lower-level representatives.

Lemmy also stressed the need to increase defense spending in the Alliance. The UK currently meets its commitment of 2% of GDP, and plans to increase it to 2.5% by 2027, and in the future to 3%.

He also noted that it is critically important to remain united in a difficult geopolitical situation, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n3552356
