Leak of top-secret US plans: Witkoff was a member of the chat while in the Kremlin

This fact will cause even more concern among Washington’s allies, especially since Trump insists that he knows nothing about it.

Donald Trump’s chief representative in Ukraine, Steve Witkoff, was in a group chat about the leak of a US strike plan for Yemen when he visited the Kremlin, Sky News reports.

Witkoff, who is leading U.S. ceasefire talks with Ukraine and Russia, visited Moscow on March 13. He was a participant in a top-secret chat on the encrypted messaging platform Signal. That same day, a journalist was accidentally added to the chat.

Washington’s allies will be curious to see what other classified material is being discussed in the group chats. The fact that Witkoff was in Moscow when the text chain was already formed will likely add to the concern.

The publication writes that the most sensitive US military operation in Yemen was reduced to a group chat filled with emojis. This put American lives at risk.

And yet Trump claimed he knew nothing about it – if true, then this is “a scandal squared,” the publication notes.

“Russian negotiators may well be laughing after the Trump team sent war plans (strikes on Yemeni Houthis – UNIAN) to journalists,” writes Sky News correspondent in the US James Matthews.

  1. Using the ‘safe’ Kremlin internet…………….

If it was under Biden: Trump would shout: LOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP.

  2. “The best place to hide a corpse is the back page of The Atlantic magazine, because no one ever looks there,” Musk wrote.

  3. Sponge Bob would be a better envoy than Witkoff. I really mean it, since he’s got more brains and has morals.
