Lavrov: We didn’t attack Ukraine. It is Ukraine and the US who attacked us.

Translation: Up is down. Evil is good. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.

Lavrov: We have no intention of attacking anyone at all. Right now, the US has attacked us through the Ukrainian regime and is waging war against us using Ukrainian neo-Nazis.

Translation: We can do whatever we want and then just deny it.

Lavrov: The US arming them and helping them shell our territory with long-range weapons, directly participating in the preparation of such attacks.

Translation: We thought we would just hit them and they wouldn’t fight back.

Lavrov: President Putin has repeatedly stated that we were left with no choice but to begin the special military operation.

Translation: Putin is an idiot. He thought we would take Kyiv in 3 days. Boy, was he wrong.

Lavrov: They have been pushing for this for a long time, turning Ukraine into a foothold for creating threats against the russian Federation.

Translation: The only threat Ukraine presented was a successful democracy next door. It would undermine russian dictatorship.

Today is the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Armed Forces of Ukraine is the shield that stands between freedom and tyranny, light and darkness, protecting Ukraine and Europe from the russian evil. Eternal glory to the fallen Heroes! Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

We have saved our nation and given Europe a chance. We have achieved this, but the work is not yet done. Hardship still lies ahead, but one thing is certain — we will never again feel shame.
