Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has responded positively to US President Donald Trump’s idea of creating a “Peace Council”.
He stated this at a press conference following the results of the work of Russian diplomacy in 2025, Censor.NET reports with reference to “European Truth” .
According to Lavrov, the Russian side recently received specific proposals, including a draft charter of the “Peace Council”.
He noted that the initiative proposed by the United States demonstrates awareness of the need to form groups of countries for cooperation in specific areas.
Lavrov also stated that Donald Trump’s administration is “an administration of pragmatists.”
“It realizes the need not only to unite a large number of countries under its leadership, but also to fully take into account their legitimate interests,” the Russian Foreign Minister added.
