On the instructions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a full-fledged system for intercepting enemy drones flying towards Kyiv is being launched. This was reported by Timur Tkachenko , head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the capital is attracting more funds to implement the large-scale “Clean Sky” project, which involves protecting airspace with the help of domestic interceptor drones.

“260 million hryvnias will be allocated for the implementation of the initiative. These funds will go not just to purchase equipment, but to create an effective response system,” the head of the KMVA noted.

This involves the deployment of an operator training center – a specialized structure where specialists will be trained in controlling interceptor drones; the formation of additional mobile units that will be on duty in Kyiv and on the outskirts of the city.

Tkachenko also noted that the work is taking place in close coordination with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Air Force, and the Defense Forces to achieve maximum synergy with the air defense system.

“In just a few months of pilot launch, the “Clear Sky” project in the Kyiv region has already proven its effectiveness – almost 550 enemy UAVs have been intercepted,” he wrote, adding that work is also underway to attract extrabudgetary funds.

Massive attack on Kyiv on July 10

As UNIAN reported, on the night of July 10, Russia again launched a massive combined strike on Kyiv. The city was attacked by dozens of “Shaheeds”. Rockets were also fired at the city in two waves: first ballistic, then cruise.

Two women died in the Podilskyi district: a 68-year-old resident of the capital and a 22-year-old police corporal, a metro police officer.

Today, July 11, Tkachenko stated that as of 08:00, the number of people injured as a result of enemy shelling on July 10 had increased to 28 people, including two minors.
