A fire broke out at the facility, engulfing the tanks. Footage from the scene was collected by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.

Information about the strike on the plant was confirmed by the OSINT channel world.militares.

“Ukrainian troops attacked an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban in Krasnodar Krai. Footage shared by residents shows a fire at the facility,” researchers claim.

Exilenova+ drew attention to the fact that the attacked refinery supplies fuel, in particular, to the occupied Ukrainian Crimean peninsula.

“Given the current operations in Crimea, this is a very attractive target,” the channel emphasized.

NASA firms service records a fire in the refinery area.

Satellites also recorded thermal anomalies in the area of the Slavyanska oil stabilization and gas preparation facility of RN-Krasnodarneftegaz LLC: as Exilenova+ suggested, a fire could also have broken out there.

The strike on the Slavyansk Refinery was also reported by the Russian independent publication ASTRA.

And local authorities announced a “fire at the refinery in Sloviansk-on-Kuban”, the cause of which, of course, was “the fall of UAV debris.”

LLC “Slovyansk-EKO” (Slovyansk Refinery) is one of the largest independent oil refineries in Russia, located in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Territory.

The enterprise is engaged in oil refining and the production of gasoline, DTF (diesel technological fraction), fuel oil, SMT (marine low-viscosity fuel), vacuum gas oil and other petroleum products.

The plant’s capacity is about 4–5 million tons of raw materials per year, and the refinery provides about 9% of the oil refining volume in the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation. The plant is one of the largest exporters of petroleum products through the ports of the Black Sea.

The enterprise has been repeatedly attacked by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

OBOZ.UA previously reported that on June 27, Flamingo missiles attacked a plant in Volgograd that produces missile systems. Serious damage was recorded at the enterprise.

Also, on the eve, the SBU, for the second time in a month, struck the Vtorovo oil pumping station, which supplies fuel to Moscow.
