Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the capital is gradually returning to life. At the same time, those residents of Kiev who had previously left the city are asked by the mayor to remain in their places for the time being.
This is stated in the video message of Klitschko.
“Those who haven’t gone home yet, I appeal: please wait a bit. There is still a possible threat of shelling of the city. And I urge the people of Kiev, who are now in the city, to be careful – do not neglect alarms, observe the curfew rules. It continues in the capital, let me remind you , from 21:00 to 6:00,” the mayor recalled.
He also reminded drivers of the need to comply with traffic rules.
“Since there are many checkpoints and blocks on the roads in the city, I urge drivers to be careful and follow the rules of the road. Since there are much more cars in the city, and obstacles on the road complicate traffic. We all hope that the enemy has abandoned attempts to capture the heart of Ukraine – Kyiv. But we must be ready for other scenarios,” the mayor said.
Earlier today, CNN journalists, citing US and Western officials, wrote that Putin has not necessarily given up on trying to seize Kiev , even as Russia has shifted its focus to southern and eastern Ukraine in recent days.
Prior to this, the Kyiv City State Administration stated that now the enemy is not able to take the capital of Ukraine without any extra effort, and he has neither effort nor time.
