The fight against russian aviation will have to be made one of the priorities in 2024, if the appropriate tools are received.
KAB bombs are the biggest threat in the DB zone.
It is possible to fight KABs only by destroying their carriers.
During the first third of February 2024, Russian tactical aviation carried out more than 460 drops of FAB-250, FAB-500M62, FAB-1500M54 aerial bombs, as well as ODAB-500 from UMPC.
In simple terms, a glide bomb is a stand-off weapon with flight controls which allow it to use a gliding flight path onto a target at a greater distance.
The most intensive direction for the use of KAB is Avdeevka, the second most intensive is Kupyansk. In addition, Russian tactical aviation, at its own peril and risk, is trying to achieve systemic indicators of the use of KAB in the Kherson region, both on the left and right banks.
In 2023, the record month for the use of CAB was November, more than 1,200 bombs of various types with a daily record on November 25 – 120 units. Taking into account the fact that on February 1/3, ROV aviation already used more than 460 KAB, this month may set an absolute record for the enemy’s use of these weapons. Which is not surprising, given the deadlines for the Russian command in Avdievka and beyond.
In addition, the Russian military-industrial complex was able to reach the level of average daily support in the use of up to more than 50 UMPC per day.
All this once again indicates that the fight against Russian aviation will have to be made one of the priorities in 2024, if the appropriate tools are received. It is possible to fight KABs only by destroying their carriers.
