On the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came to Kyiv .

Commenting on recent statements by US President Donald Trump, Johnson noted that his rhetoric about Ukraine allegedly being responsible for the war is simply disgusting. He compared it to swimmers attacking a shark in Jaws. “It’s a complete distortion of the truth,” Johnson said.

The politician believes that now it is worth focusing on what is happening in Kyiv and on the negotiations that will help bring peace back to Ukraine. In this regard, he expressed the opinion that the agreement on the extraction of minerals that the US is imposing on Ukraine has promising points. He explained which of them and why could be of great benefit to Ukraine.

3 years of war

Today, a number of foreign leaders arrived in Kyiv for events marking the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. They will gather for a summit to discuss Ukraine’s strategy and security guarantee formats. A total of 37 leaders will take part in the summit, 13 of whom will be present in person and 24 online. President Volodymyr Zelensky called the summit likely a “turning point.”
