The Canadian Prime Minister also announced the allocation of military aid to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian people should not have to endure even one day of a full-scale war with Russia. This was stated by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during the plenary session “Support Ukraine”.
“This is not the conflict that Ukraine wanted or that it provoked. This war was started for one reason – Russia’s desire to erase Ukrainian history and expand the territory of its empire. The actions of the Russian Federation are nothing more than a direct attack. We must do everything so that Ukraine gets a long-term peace, which cannot be achieved without Ukrainians at the negotiating table,” the politician said.
He called on partners to increase aid to Ukraine. The Canadian prime minister also announced that Kyiv would receive an additional 25 LAV III infantry fighting vehicles and other types of weapons.
“We will provide two combat support armoured vehicles, which Ukrainian troops will soon be training on in Germany. We will also provide landing systems for F-16 aircraft. They were delivered two months ago. And we will also provide four F-16 flight simulators in the coming months. This is in addition to millions of rounds of ammunition and first aid kits. We will also deliver the first tranche of $5 billion in aid to Ukraine, which will be financed by proceeds from frozen Russian assets,” Trudeau added.

The LAVIII is a perfect armored vehicle for Ukraine. It is reliable and easy to work on, good mobility even in mud where its boat like hull pushes through mud easily, is well armed with a 25mm Bushmaster cannon and completely amphibious even on the fly.
A far better choice than the Stryker which has a lot of mechanical issues and is only armed with a 7.62 machinegun.
