Japanese pickup trucks will be produced in Ukraine

Today, more than 40 key Japanese companies operate in Ukraine.

Japanese pickup trucks will be manufactured in Ukraine using SKD technology, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported.

“Together with Ukrainian partners, the Japanese company plans to start producing pickup trucks using large-unit assembly technology, and in the future they plan to switch to small-unit production (CKD),” the agency cites a statement by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

The initiative is a joint project involving several Ukrainian manufacturers and a Japanese engineering company. During a meeting with over 200 Japanese businessmen, Svyridenko called on other companies to open their production facilities in our country.

Among the tools to support investors, the statesman named the “Made in Ukraine” program, which, in particular, provides for the development of industrial parks and offers affordable loans.

Yulia Svirydenko noted that more than 40 key Japanese companies are already operating in our country. According to her, Tokyo has allocated 1.25 billion euros through the initiatives of the NEXI corporation, which has provided support to Japanese companies that want to work in Ukraine.
