A new type of weapon could harm the Russian industrial complex.

New types of weapons of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are capable of breaking through Russian air defense and hitting important objects on Russian territory. This opinion was expressed on KYIV24 by the president of the All-Ukrainian aviation organization “Association of Private Pilots and Aircraft Owners” Gennady Khazan.

According to him, we are talking about the Bars missiles. He emphasized that this new weapon, which is a mixture of a drone and a missile, can be used for precision strikes on Russian industrial facilities.

“These missiles have the ability to be very smart when they need to be, in certain areas. It should be very difficult for the Russians to think through and understand how the flight is going,” Khazan noted.

It is noted that the devices will not fly like a conventional cruise missile. They can change flight paths like drones, which will allow them to break through the Russian air defense system.

“I personally wish that the two cities that are most protected by air defense systems, such as Moscow and Leningrad, would have flights there every evening, every morning… It can fly there (“Bars” – UNIAN),” he added.

Khazan believes that this should happen regularly so that the Russians realize that the so-called “SVO” has reached them as well.

What is known about the Bars missile?

As UNIAN reported, recently, Minister for Strategic Industries German Smetanin reported that Ukraine has increased the production of cruise missiles of various types eightfold since 2023. He also mentioned that a new cruise missile, “Bars”, has been created.

Military expert and founder of the Reaktivna Poshta organization, Pavlo Narozhnyi, has named the advantages of the new Ukrainian Bars missile. According to him, the weapon is capable of hitting targets at a range of up to 800 kilometers.

Moreover, the “Bars” is relatively small in size and carries a warhead of about 50 kilograms.
