I don’t know if there is a certain term for disseminating a lie willingly. It’s not lying directly, but indirectly. You are certainly supporting the liar in his lies. This is on the same low level. On the other hand, if you do it without knowing that it’s a lie, things change. If it’s based on an honest mistake because it came from an otherwise reputable source, then you’re innocent. If it comes from a dubious source, and you take it as a truth without further ado, you’re a moron.
If you can verify the truth of a situation, yet you spew what is a lie, then you are just as as culpable as the original liar. Most of what is being spewed on Ukraine can be verified as a lie, yet the supposedly intelligent people keep spewing Putin’s lies for him.
