According to Sky News , the spokesman of the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari, told the press that Iran had launched “unmanned aerial vehicles” without specifying the number. “We will try to prevent them from entering the territory of Israel, that is our task,” he said.

Earlier today, the IDF announced that all training and educational events for the military have been canceled for the coming days. In addition, it was forbidden to conduct the educational process in civilian institutions throughout the country, and events with the participation of more than 1,000 people were also prohibited.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to convene the military cabinet in the evening, after which he recorded a video address to the citizens. 

“Our defense systems are deployed and we are ready for any scenario, both defensively and offensively. The State of Israel is strong, the IDF is strong, the public is strong. I have established a clear principle – whoever hurts us, we do the same to him. We will defend ourselves against any threat, and we will do so calmly and decisively,” Netanyahu said in the address.

He also called on the citizens of Israel to remain calm and listen to the directives of the rear command.

It is also reported that Israel’s neighbor Jordan urgently closed its airspace due to the threat of an Iranian attack on Israel. Take-off, landing and transit flights are prohibited. At least two flights of Emirates airline Fly Dubai are known to have been turned back to the United Arab Emirates after departing for Israel.

Iraq has also closed its airspace, the country’s transport ministry said.
