In recent days, Iran has threatened to take revenge on Israel for the attack on the embassy in Syria.
Iran has probably launched a large-scale air attack on Israel. This is reported by the Times of Israel .
It is claimed that several dozen drones were launched from the territory of Iran. It will take them several hours to reach the territory of Israel.
According to Sky News , the spokesman of the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari, told the press that Iran had launched “unmanned aerial vehicles” without specifying the number. “We will try to prevent them from entering the territory of Israel, that is our task,” he said.
Earlier today, the IDF announced that all training and educational events for the military have been canceled for the coming days. In addition, it was forbidden to conduct the educational process in civilian institutions throughout the country, and events with the participation of more than 1,000 people were also prohibited.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to convene the military cabinet in the evening, after which he recorded a video address to the citizens.
“Our defense systems are deployed and we are ready for any scenario, both defensively and offensively. The State of Israel is strong, the IDF is strong, the public is strong. I have established a clear principle – whoever hurts us, we do the same to him. We will defend ourselves against any threat, and we will do so calmly and decisively,” Netanyahu said in the address.
He also called on the citizens of Israel to remain calm and listen to the directives of the rear command.
It is also reported that Israel’s neighbor Jordan urgently closed its airspace due to the threat of an Iranian attack on Israel. Take-off, landing and transit flights are prohibited. At least two flights of Emirates airline Fly Dubai are known to have been turned back to the United Arab Emirates after departing for Israel.
Iraq has also closed its airspace, the country’s transport ministry said.
After that, there was a message that Israel itself had closed its airspace.

Updated 00:58: Iranian state media IRNA reported that the first ballistic missiles had been fired toward Israel.
Updated 01:05: Before Iran launched dozens of drones towards Israel, US President Joe Biden made it clear that the US would defend its ally.
“We are committed to defending Israel. We will support Israel. We will help defend Israel and Iran will not succeed,” he said.
CNN notes that the US has forces in Iraq and Syria that could potentially intercept drones en route to Israel, depending on where they are launched from. Also, US Navy forces in the Red Sea previously intercepted long-range missiles launched at Israel by the Houthis in Yemen.
Updated 01:13: The terrorist group Hezbollah claims to have recently fired dozens of rockets from Lebanon at an Israeli army base in the Golan Heights, The Times of Israel reports .
The Israel Defense Forces said there were no reports of damage or injuries as the rockets hit an open area.
Updated 01:27: US forces shot down some of the Iranian drones headed for Israel. An American official told ABC News about it .
The US is seen as having many opportunities in the region beyond the Mediterranean and Red Seas.
The USA is shooting down Shahed drones over Israël, why not over Ukraine? Biden?
Because Israel is a NATO country…oh wait…
This is probably the best scenario for Russia and China. The U.S. and European allies are using stock piles of missiles to shoot down drones. Essentially depleting stock piles that are not quickly replenished. This could potentially be disastrous for Ukraine as well. Stretching resources to thin leaves the U.S. and its allies vulnerable.
Yeah, sadly right, this is absolutely not helpful for Ukraine. Because of the very much unnecessary escalation of killing Iranian generals, valuable Patriot missiles have been used for repelling this Iranian counterstrike. Certainly, the US will provide Israel with new deliveries, while Ukraine gets a big fat nothing, despite being under constant attack by Russia. This shows the totally wrongheaded priorities of Biden and that Netanyahu ain’t a friend of Ukraine at all. 😠
