LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky has been hospitalized with a coronavirus infection, Interfax reports, citing a source familiar with the situation.
Zhirinovsky is in the Central Clinical Hospital of the Office of the President (TsKB) in Moscow. According to the interlocutor of the agency, the 75-year-old leader of the LDPR has a serious lung injury.
Earlier, a RIA Novosti source also reported Zhirinovsky’s hospitalization at the Central Clinical Hospital , without specifying why the LDPR leader ended up in the hospital.
Telegram channels, including Mash , claim that Zhirinovsky has 50-70% lung damage. According to an RBC source in the party, the politician was connected to a ventilator . Another interlocutor of the publication claims that Zhirinovsky’s condition is critical. “And no one gives any guarantees. Everything is complicated by comorbidities,” he said.
In turn, the first deputy head of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, Vasily Vlasov, said that Zhirinovsky “works with documents” and “feels fine.” Other details, including where exactly Zhirinovsky is, Vlasov did not disclose.
