Defenders of Ukraine in the south struck an enemy freight train carrying military equipment. Russian occupation forces suffered massive losses.

“The defense forces of southern Ukraine hit a locomotive with a column of enemy equipment. The enemy’s losses amounted to 13 tanks and more than a hundred units of armored and automotive equipment,” the military press service claims in the Telegram channel.

The Southern Defense Forces did not disclose other details, although in the following post they informed about the total losses of the aggressor during the day (June 7). This list includes, among other things:

– 1 railway locomotive;

– 13 tanks;

– 103 units of automobile and armored vehicles;

– 10 AFVs.

The press service did not specify under what circumstances the Russians lost this equipment. It also did not specify whether it was one or several operations, although the mentioned points are consistent with the previous report about the shelling of the locomotive.

Meanwhile, information began to appear in Russian propaganda Telegram channels that the strike was indeed large-scale. According to one version, the military echelon was allegedly attacked by drones that flew directly from tanks. The reliability of this scenario has not been confirmed, but it is interesting that an enemy blogger lamented the loss of “tanks and dozens of armored vehicles” via “Web 2.0”:

Situation on the front line

The General Staff of the Armed Forces (as of 10:00 p.m. Saturday) reported that 155 combat clashes occurred during the day.

The Russian invaders carried out three missile and 65 air strikes, using four missiles and 112 KABs. The enemy also used 1,273 kamikaze drones and carried out 4,407 attacks on our positions and settlements.

On the Kharkiv direction, the defenders repelled an enemy attack near Vovchansk. The enemy launched anti-tank missiles at the city of Kharkiv.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted an assault in the Stepovaya Novoselivka area, but was unsuccessful.

In the Lymansky direction, 18 attacks were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Hrekivka, Novyi Mir, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and Bilogorivka. As of 10:00 p.m., one clash was still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, ten combat clashes occurred in the area of ​​Chasovy Yar, Markovy, and in the direction of Bila Hora, Predtechyny. Another enemy attack was ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks by the aggressor near Toretsk and towards Diliivka and Yablunivka, another battle was ongoing.

In the Pokrovsky direction, the invaders tried to break through the defense 55 times in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Myrolyubivka, Myrne, Yelizavetivka, Promyn, Lysivka, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Kotlyne, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, Kotlyarivka, Bohdanivka, Novoukrainka, and Andriivka. The defense forces repelled 51 attacks, and four more combat clashes did not end.

In the Novopavlivske direction, Ukrainian units are holding back attacks by occupation forces near the settlements of Bahatyr, Vesele, Burlatske, and Vilne Pole. In total, 19 clashes took place there, five of which were ongoing.

In the Hulyaipil direction, the Defense Forces successfully stopped one attempt by the Russian Armed Forces to advance near Malynivka. The fighting did not end.

In the Orikhiv direction, the advance of enemy troops towards Novoandreyevka was stopped.

In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made two futile attempts to attack.

On the Kursk front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 28 attacks, and one combat clash was still ongoing.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.

As OBOZ.UA wrote, on the evening of June 7, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian soldiers had recently destroyed three Russian installations of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system.
