In Russia’s Tambov region, a plant linked to the production of missile systems caught fire following a drone attack

Drones attacked the Progress plant in Michurinsk, which produces components for Kh-101 missiles. OSINT analysts confirmed the fire on the enterprise’s territory.

In the Russian city of Michurinsk, Tambov region, drones attacked the “Progress” plant on the night of June 3, which produces equipment for aviation and missile control systems. This was reported by ASTRA with reference to its own OSINT analysis, according to UNN.

According to the project, videos of the fire published by eyewitnesses were geolocated near the enterprise’s production facilities. Analysts concluded that the fire occurred specifically on the territory of the “Progress” plant. Officially, the Russian authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

According to information from the War & Sanctions project of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, the enterprise manufactures MP-95 sensors, which can be used during testing and control of Kh-101 cruise missile systems. The plant also produces gyromotors for Kh-59M2 and Kh-59M2A missiles, used in angular velocity determination systems.

The “Progress” plant has been a target of attacks before. According to ASTRA, strikes on the enterprise were recorded in December 2024, June 2025, and February 2026. In addition to products for the aviation and missile industries, the enterprise also produces civilian electrical equipment and products for gas and oil pipelines.
