“She was actually born in a shirt. I wonder how she got to us, because as soon as we took out the fragment from the heart, the affected area began to bleed profusely. This is a penetrating wound of the heart. Another millimeter and she would have died,” he said.
Cardiac surgeons performed a complex operation on a working heart. A fragment measuring 1×1.5 cm was stuck on the border of the left and right ventricles, in the thickness of the heart muscle. The operation lasted about 1.5 hours and was successful.
