“Poisoning, a sudden illness, an accident – the Russian elite is considering the possibility of removing Putin. Among the Russian business and political elite, a group of influential people opposed to Vladimir Putin is being formed. Their goal is to remove Putin from power as soon as possible and restore economic ties with the West, destroyed by for the wars in Ukraine,” intelligence reports.
According to the GUR, a certain part of the Russian political elite of the Russian Federation considers FSB director Alexander Bortnikov as Putin’s successor. He has recently fallen out of favor with the Russian dictator. The official reason for the disgrace of the head of the FSB is fatal miscalculations in the war against Ukraine.
