If the U.S. can’t force Ukraine to capitulate, it will just walk away — and then blame Zelensky for the failure of negotiations.

If the U.S. fails to force Ukraine to capitulate, it will simply “move on.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that if there are no clear signs of progress toward a peace agreement, the U.S. will end its mediation efforts between russia and Ukraine.

“We need to determine within the next few days whether this agreement can be reached in the short term. If not, then I think we’ll simply move on. We are not going to continue these efforts for weeks and months,” Rubio said.

This is exactly what I said two months ago: for the current U.S. administration Ukraine is merely an obstacle to a stronger relationship with russia. If the U.S. can’t force Ukraine to capitulate, it will just walk away — and then blame Zelensky for the failure of negotiations.

Krasny / 47 is a Russian agent. His entire gang in the White House are also Russian trolls and agents. Each of them on the string of the criminal murderer Putin. In addition, Elon has been in the arms of oligarchs from Russia for years and supported by China. America wake up. Europe will support Ukraine. Without the US for which Russia is an ally.

Krasny / 47 to ruski agent.

The US has been a vulture. The silver lining in this is that if the US moves on, Ukraine can hopefully just focus of pushing back Russia and not have to worry about the US picking at it. This entire time with Trump, I’ve just watch the US try to bring Ukraine to it’s knees. Yet they keep standing. 🇺🇦 🙏

The current US administration was always planning to abandon Ukraine.

They were just looking for a convenient excuse.

Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Юлія Свириденко, has just announced that Ukraine and the U.S. have signed a Memorandum of Intent concerning the “mineral deal.”

Further details will follow, but here is Svyrydenko’s statement:

We are happy to announce the signing, with our American partners, of a Memorandum of Intent, which paves the way for an Economic Partnership Agreement and the establishment of the Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.

We hope that the Fund will become an effective tool for attracting investments in the reconstruction of our country, modernization of infrastructure, support for business, and the creation of new economic opportunities.

It is very important that the document notes the desire of the American people to invest together with the Ukrainian people in a free, sovereign, and secure Ukraine.

This document is the result of the professional work of the negotiating teams, which recently completed another round of technical discussions in Washington.

Ahead is the finalization of the text of the Agreement and its signing—and then, ratification by parliaments.

In the meantime, we continue to work on the Agreement itself. There is a lot to do, but the current pace and significant progress give reason to expect that the document will be very beneficial for both countries.

Given that the US isn’t honoring the Budapest memorandum, is this worth the paper it’s printed on?

This sounds like a grave mistake, unless being done purely tactically with a clear intent and a plant to back out from this garbage deal.

US does not honour international agreements when it suits them. They have already defaulted on the Budapest memorandum, just like Russia did. Whatever is agreed is ublikely to be worth the paper it was written on.

A practical issue with garbage deals like this is that those are incompatible with future EU integration. Thus it is a price worth paying only when genuine security guarantees are on the table.

This won’t help Ukraine in any way. It is a trap.

  1. How do these two big stories square with each other?
On the one hand, kremlin west is signaling that it intends to disengage from Ukraine.
On the other hand, it wants this mineral deal.
What’s in it? Is it for all Ukraine, or only the non-occupied areas?
Does the Krasnov regime really expect Ukraine to sign a deal that gives a huge amount of its sovereign land and mineral resources to a nazi murder gang?
    Perplexing.

  2. Maybe not. The orange person has extended Biden’s sanctions, after all, and refuses mafia ships from docking in US ports.
