Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his phrase “I like it – I don’t like it, be patient, my beauty,” addressed to the leadership of Ukraine, “did not have any personal dimension.” He said this at a joint press conference with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
You know, it didn’t have any personal dimension, I must say straight out. I never got personal in my work for many years. It had, I repeat, no personal dimension. The only question is that when we hear such comments from the head of state that we like something and dislike something in the fundamental agreements that regulate very important relations between countries in terms of security, including Ukraine itself, I don’t think it’s the right format.
Putin added that if a country has assumed certain obligations, including those enshrined in the UN Security Council Resolution, “then everyone needs to fulfill and agree on how to do this.”
On February 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he was not satisfied with all the points of the Minsk agreements . A week later, on February 8, Vladimir Putin replied to Zelensky: “Like it, don’t like it, be patient, my beauty. You have to do it, there’s no other way.” Zelensky, commenting on this, said that “Ukraine is really a beauty, but about“ mine ”is already too much.
