📣 How Russian #propaganda works:

‘News story’ from non-existent newspaper
With a photo from a 2015 music clip and
Absurd claims of ‘foreign fighters’ in #Ukraine

💬 The story just so happens to match Russian State Propaganda narratives, who claim it’s ‘#NATO Mercenaries’ they’re fighting in Ukraine.

The article itself makes false claims of ‘war crimes’ by Ukrainians, quoting one Mira Terada from ‘the Foundation to Battle Injustice’ (formerly FBR)

🤡 This ‘Foundation’ is a Russian troll site founded by Prigozhin, former leader of Wagner PMC. It has no credibility.

“The Boston Times,” meanwhile, is a WordPress site with a logo featuring nonsense text typical of AI images. It claims it was founded in 1972, but domain registration data shows it was created in 2024.

☝️ The real Boston Times doesn’t exist anymore today.
As the newspaper was disbanded in 1933.

But of course, Russian State #media is re-tweeting this fake news crazy, which is a smoking gun in itself. And #SocialMedia platforms like Twitter/X allow it.

🙄 It’s easy to pass this example over as another laughable attempt at disinformation but the firehose of Russian propaganda is wide open

And with the help of pro-russian agents like MAGA,
Many in the West are drinking it up.

And that’s horrifying.
