Users throughout the Russian Federation complain that they cannot use digital services from a number of major Russian banking institutions.

On the morning of July 23, a massive cyberattack by specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense began on the banking system of the aggressor state of Russia.

As UNIAN was informed by a source in the special service, as a result of the strike, the work of payment systems, mobile banking applications, personal accounts, the system of payment for services in public transport, etc., ceased or became significantly more complicated. There are also interruptions in the work of the main mobile operators and Internet providers in Russia.

According to the source, users all over the Russian Federation complain that they cannot use digital services of a number of major Russian banking institutions at once. In particular, online services do not work or have significantly degraded in Alfa Bank, Sberbank, Raiffeisen Bank, VTB Bank, RSHB Bank, Gazprombank, T-Bank, and iBank online banking.

In addition, the work of the national payment systems of terrorists – the Fast Payment System “SBP” and the National Payment Card System “NSPK” – has been blocked or significantly disrupted.

Russian users on social networks are also complaining en masse about the impossibility of using mobile communications or mobile Internet from Beeline, Megafon, Tele2 and Rostelecom.

As the source informed, Russia has already admitted that the massive failure of online services is a consequence of an attack by “politically motivated hackers”. At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence notes that the attack is still ongoing and is far from complete.

“In fact, the Russians are thus achieving their “goals”, which, as we know, are going “according to plan”. Russia and Putin’s serfs are returning to their “roots” and “bonds”: the “NATO” Internet is having less and less influence on the lives of Russians, and online services are disappearing as “hostile liberal values”. This is a good time to fully implement the Kremlin’s desired “import substitution” in the format of wooden accounts, paper savings books and cave paintings. For our part, we are making every effort to speed up this process and return Muscovites to the times when no bitcoin, stock market share or even dollar had any influence on their lives. After all, they simply will not have access to this,” the agency’s source commented on the situation.

Cyberattacks on Russian web resources

As UNIAN reported, on July 15, a volunteer hacker community, together with cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate, attacked about 100 web resources in the space of the aggressor state of Russia. “The cyber attack was aimed at destroying the internal information of companies that serve clients from the Russian state sector involved in waging war against Ukraine,” Ukrainian intelligence said.

In particular, the following were affected: “MITgroup” – a group of companies that develops corporate websites; “Perm Plant of Industrial Equipment” – an enterprise that manufactures and supplies lifting equipment for industrial facilities; “United Crane Technologies” – a trading and manufacturing company that manufactures and sells lifting equipment; “RUMOS-LADA” – a dealer of LADA cars.
