There are no plans to announce the decision to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow against targets deep in Russian territory at the summit in Washington.

Great Britain has already decided to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles for targets on the territory of Russia .

British government  sources have told The Guardian that a decision to allow Ukraine to strike with Western weapons against targets deep in recognized Russian territory has already been made, although it is not expected to be announced publicly on Friday when Keir Starmer meets Joe Biden in Washington.

Sources added that Blinken and Lemmy’s joint visit to Kyiv on Wednesday to meet with Zelenskyi would not have taken place if a positive decision on Storm Shadow had not been made. But the British called the public statement about long-range missiles in Kyiv excessively provocative, and therefore there was no statement.

According to The Guardian, Secretary of State Blinken also “hinted” that Washington had made a similar decision regarding ATACMS missiles. According to Blinken, the US “from day one” was ready to adapt its policy in Ukraine depending on the situation on the battlefield and “will continue to do so.”
