Why Ukraine Can’t Simply Give Up Territory to Russia.
I keep hearing people say, “Why doesn’t Ukraine just give Russia some land so the war can end?”
It sounds simple, but it’s actually dangerous thinking — for Ukraine, for Europe, and for the whole world.
- Borders matter — and the world agreed on them.
After WWII, the global community decided: no country can take land by force. When the USSR collapsed in 1991, Ukraine became independent within its existing borders. So, did the Russian Federation.
- Russia already promised to respect Ukraine’s borders.
1994 Budapest Memorandum — Russia guaranteed Ukraine’s sovereignty when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons.
1997 Treaty of Friendship — Russia again recognized Ukraine’s borders, including Crimea.
- Giving up land would reward aggression.
The 2014 Crimea “referendum” was declared illegal by the UN. Accepting it would prove that invasions and fake votes work. That means more wars, not peace.
- The UN is unambiguous.
In 2014 and 2022, the UN overwhelmingly reaffirmed:Crimea, Donbas, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia — ALL of it is Ukraine.
So when people ask, “Why not give up territory for peace?” the answer is simple:
Because it wouldn’t bring peace. It would bring MORE wars.
Peace never comes from rewarding the aggressor.
It comes from defending the principle that borders cannot be changed by force.

- I had a very good meeting with distinguished guests, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
- We discussed Security Guarantees for Ukraine, which Guarantees would be provided by the various European Countries, with a coordination with the United States of America.
- Everyone is very happy about the possibility of peace for Russia/Ukraine.
- I called President Putin, and began the arrangements for a meeting between President Putin and President Zelenskyy.
- After that meeting takes place, we will have a Trilat, which would be the two Presidents, plus myself.

“Some of the international media might wonder, Why is the President of Finland here? I think the reason is that we might come from a small country, but we have a long border with Russia, over 800 miles, and we of course have our own historical experience with Russia from World War II, the Winter War and the War of Continuation.

- “It is an honor for us to welcome the President of Ukraine. We love the people of Ukraine very much.”
- “I like President Zelensky’s outfit.”
- “Zelensky, Putin, and I — we all want this to end.”
- “Very substantial progress has been made in negotiations with Putin. I think there’s a chance something could come out of this.”
- “We are working on a lasting peace — one that won’t last for just 2 years, but much longer. If things go well today, there will be a trilateral meeting.”
- “I don’t want to say which side has the better cards.”
- “The war will end when it is supposed to end; I cannot tell you when.”
- “There will be a lot of security assistance.”
Zelensky began the meeting by thanking Trump and his wife Melania. Olena Zelenska gave her a letter of gratitude for her efforts on behalf of Ukrainian children.

The pics from Sumy are terrible.
The sight of Zel next to Trump with a big smile on his face in that pic from the DT last night was very queasy, in light of entire families being murdered by savages. I understand why he had to do it, but his heart must have been burning with pain.
Giving land that is under Ukrainian control must be completely ruled out.
IMHO, the perpetrators of genocide should get nothing from this horror. Except a rope.

No one in the MSM will report that Hitler McTaco couldn’t even find the President of Finland, sitting right across the table from him, in a group of less than a dozen people,” said an X account that goes by Dr. Red Bison, Ph.D.
An account for the hacker collective Anonymous responded to Trump’s comments about stopping elections if there is a war.
“Instead of talking about Ukraine, Trump diverted the entire meeting to centre around how he plans to rig the next US election again,” the account said.
The account then quoted Trump’s comments, saying, “We are going to do everything possible [to] get rid of mail in ballots.” And, “If you have mail in voting, you’re not going to have many Democrats get elected.”
The GOP-led anti-Trump group, The Lincoln Project, quoted Trump on Russia/Ukraine: “I don’t think you need a ceasefire.”
“This is what you say when you’ve failed to negotiate a ceasefire,” the account dissed.
Victor Parlati from the same group:
“I was a lifelong Democrat until I caught on to how the Ultra Wealthy started buying virtually everybody in politics – not just the Republicans.

I’m also considering dropping my affinity to being a Republican. The majority of them simply disgust me. It seems there is no turning back for them from semi-fascism. As for the ultra wealthy and corrupt, every damned political party in this world has them.
I saw the clip with taco looking for the Finnish president, and indeed, he was right in front of him, across the table. Taco is beyond embarrassing anymore. A new term should be invented just for him.
This is the guy he was playing golf with just a few weeks back.
It is suspected that taco is going senile.
I notice the US press is very quiet on Trump. Have they been threatened?
Maybe some. It would not be a surprise to me if it were so.
