German general with explosive Russia announcement – the sentence causes a stir

Something is brewing in Ukraine that could decisively change the course of the war. Germany is playing a key role in this. In a ZDF interview, German Major General Christian Freuding announced a turn of events that caused quite a stir over the weekend and could pose a threat to Putin’s Russia.

Freuding is head of the Planning and Command Staff and the Situation Center for Ukraine. In this role, he made explosive announcements regarding arms deliveries as recently as July.

Bundeswehr General: “We need weapons systems that reach deep into Russia”

“We need weapons systems that can reach deep into Russian territory, capable of attacking depots, command facilities, airfields, and aircraft,” Freuding said. Germany is “ready to provide such weapons systems.” Agreements with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian industry will be negotiated as early as the end of July. Weapon systems will be delivered to the country “in high three-digit numbers” – financed by Germany.

The officer evaded Taurus’s question from TV presenter Dunja Hayali. However, the Merz government appears to have abandoned the scope restrictions on arms deliveries to Russia.

Is this the “game changer” and the answer to Putin’s mass drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and civilians? The major general: “This will massively strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses and Ukrainian capabilities in the coming weeks and months.” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already hinted at long-range attacks. He said the war will be brought to Russia.

“Politically, Germany is effectively a war party”

But there is also clear criticism online, especially of the Bundeswehr officer’s use of the word “we”: “We need weapons systems that reach deep into Russian territory.” Political scientist Johannes Varwick, who has been a critic of arms deliveries to the aggressor Russia for years, writes sarcastically on X: “But of course, we are not a party to the war.”

He also points out that Freuding gave this interview in his Bundeswehr uniform and from Kyiv. “Politically, Germany is effectively a party to the war. Major General Dr. Freuding aptly symbolizes this,” he explains. “A purely international law perspective is irrelevant here.”

  1. So pervasive is kremkrapper propaganda that this General’s words are deemed “explosive”, when after 3.5 years of genocide they should be in the mainstream.

  2. This is a European war no matter how you look at it. Putler has already declared war on Europe with all these acts of sabotage. Now Europe comes out fighting, the war criminal will start bleating as usual.

    • Yes, you know that things are getting critical when the Germans! of everyone are talking like this. We’ll see…
