Ukraine is running out of Patriot interceptors faster than the West can supply them — so a four-year-old Ukrainian company founded by engineers and game designers just completed the first maneuvering flight test of their own ballistic missile interceptor, the Freyja FP-7X.
Then they signed a partnership with German radar firm Hensoldt to build the full system around combat-proven technology already running in Ukraine’s IRIS-T batteries.
The country that was supposed to be the customer is now drawing the blueprint for Europe’s next-generation missile shield.
