Fighting russia Runs in the Family | A British Fighter in Ukraine (video)

09/12/2026

British fighter James came to Ukraine to fight Russia with the International Legion. Nearly four years later, he says he plans to stay in Ukraine for the rest of his life.
For James, supporting Ukraine became a family mission. His father, a retired British Army colonel, comes to Kyiv to train Ukrainian officers, while his brother fought in Ukraine from the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. In this episode, James explains why he chose Ukraine, what his first weeks in Bakhmut were like, and why stopping Russia here matters for the future of Europe.
During the 57th NAFO Convoy, donated vehicles are also delivered to Ukrainian defenders near Pokrovsk, a frontline medical evacuation team, combat swimmers from the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center, and a strike drone unit. These vehicles will support medevac, frontline logistics, UAV operations, training and classified missions on land and at sea. Reliable vehicles are constantly damaged, destroyed by Russian FPV drones or worn out by frontline conditions. Every donation helps purchase, repair and deliver another truck or ambulance to the Ukrainian units that need it.

  1. What an inspiring set of interviewees!
    God love them all.
God protect them all. That goes for the entire ZSU.
Thank you James! What a wise, level-headed guy. His dad is a retired Colonel from a family that has given generations of support to the UK and now to Ukraine. His backstory is similar to that of a distinguished retired Colonel from the British army who often appears on these pages. He could even be from the same family …

    • That family has more courage and morals than the entire fascist chicken shit Taco administration, the former GOP scum in Congress, and all their voters put together.
