In the city of Orsk, Orenburg region of Russia, the local Mechanical Plant, which produces artillery shells, is on fire.
Astra reported this news.
Videos and photos from the site are posted on social media, and Russian media also confirm the fire.
According to official data, the company produces more than 50% of artillery shells of certain calibers manufactured in Russia.
In addition, the Mechanical Plant JSC manufactures components for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), which Russians are actively using in the war against Ukraine.
Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region also acknowledged the fire, but did not specify which enterprise was on fire. At the same time, local authorities have not commented on the situation in Orsk.

The Mechanical Plant JSC is involved in the supply of the Russian occupation army. For example, back in the summer of 2022, local media reported that the company had doubled the production of steel artillery shells (product 4G5) for 122-mm D-30 howitzers.
