On the night of February 15, a series of powerful explosions thundered in Volgograd. Russians claim that air defense allegedly shot down unknown drones in the area of the local oil depot (OR).
RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to Russian Telegram channels.
In particular, the SHOT channel writes that according to local residents, the explosions began at approximately 03:15 local time. At the same time, they observed bright flashes in the sky. According to the Russians, the air defense system allegedly destroyed the drones as they approached the local oil refinery in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city.
In addition, the sounds of explosions were heard in the Kirovsky district of the city and in the village of Krasnoslobodsk.
Later, a video was published on social networks in which one of the powerful explosions in Volgograd can be heard. SHOT specified that more than 15 explosions thundered over the city and they have not stopped for about 45 minutes.

The Russians also said that car alarms went off against the backdrop of explosions in the courtyards. At the same time, there is allegedly no damage yet. At the same time, the explosions are still continuing. There was no official information about this.

The regional governor, Andrei Bocharov, reported that after the “fall of debris” from the drones, a local fire broke out in the industrial zone of the region, which has allegedly already been extinguished.
