On the night of May 8, residents in the Russian cities of Rostov and Yaroslavl complained of explosions and fires after a so-called “UAV threat” was declared in the regions. In both cities, “fly-bys” took place at production facilities, and in the latter, at an oil refinery.
The local authorities of the mentioned cities have not yet commented on what is happening. In turn, the Osint community Exilenova+ has collected video evidence of Ukrainian sanctions on enterprises of the aggressor country.
Yaroslavl
In particular, in Yaroslavl, drones attacked a local oil refinery, causing a large-scale fire.

Rostov
In Rostov, locals report an attack on Rostovagropromzapchast CJSC.
And not only in ZAO. In general, in Rostov, ” both drones and missiles are hitting different locations,” eyewitnesses claim.

The Russian independent publication ASTRA conducted an OSINT analysis of footage from Rostov-on-Don that appeared online and concluded that after the attack, a fire broke out in the area of the Empyls paint and varnish plant and a branch of the Radar scientific and technical center.
“According to ASTRA’s analysis of eyewitness footage, the fire broke out in the area of the Western Industrial Complex. Many enterprises of various types are located there, in particular the Empils plant, which was attacked earlier in January 2026, and the Radar Research and Development Center branch,” the report states.

The publication reminded that “Empils” is one of the key chemical and paint factories in southern Russia.
And the joint-stock company “Scientific and Technical Center “Radar” is engaged in the development and promotion of high-tech technologies. Its main area of activity is the development and maintenance of special-purpose complexes.
“Currently, the branch cooperates with many well-known companies in Russia and with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation,” ASTRA quotes a message from a job site in Rostov-on-Don.
By morning, the fire was just starting to burn.

Other destinations
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also reported the UAV attack. However, his words (and he talks about alleged waves of drones, and as of now, as many as 20 drones have allegedly been shot down) are not confirmed by either local residents or Osint communities.
But they are indeed reporting on the work of the air defense in Dubno, which is in the Moscow region.

They also report on the work of air defense in occupied Crimea.

What preceded
Either way, Moscow airports experienced massive delays and flight cancellations on the eve of the parade on May 9. Some passengers say they spend more than 16–17 hours in the terminals without being able to fly.
On Thursday, May 7, explosions rang out in Perm. The city’s linear production control station was once again attacked by Ukrainian drones, with smoke rising from the impact site. The attack caused the last four oil tanks to explode.
The so-called truce
Moscow has previously demonstrated that it is not going to comply with the regime of silence introduced by Kyiv. From the first minutes of the declared regime of silence, explosions were heard in Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Kryvyi Rih, Kherson, Sumy, etc.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova threatened strikes on the “decision-making center” in Kyiv. She called on diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations in Kyiv to “take maximum responsibility” in response to the previous statement of their and the military departments and, accordingly, to leave the Ukrainian capital.

This massive attack on mafia land is Ukraine’s response for mafia land’s ceasefire violations the other day. More to come.
