Expert explains why it is important for Ukraine to disrupt the parade in Moscow on May 9

Ukraine is being pressured by its partners not to attack the Russian Federation’s “victorious” parade.

It is important for Ukraine that the parade in Moscow was disrupted due to an air raid, and that the leaders who came to the Russian occupiers celebrated in shelters. This was stated by the executive director of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Dmytro Zhmaylo, on the “Espresso” air .

He noted that our country is being pressured by Western partners not to try to attack the military parade in Moscow, because leaders of individual states will be present there, and, in particular, Chinese leader Xi Jinping. According to him, all air defense assets in the Russian Federation are currently being pulled to Moscow. At the same time, he noted that air defense systems have been transferred from the Kazan and Chechnya regions.

Zhmaylo stressed that Ukraine should not go for Putin’s three-day “parade” truce. At the same time, he recalled that it was the United States that initiated the 30-day ceasefire at sea, on land, and in the air, which the Russians strongly reject.

The expert notes that for Russians, May 9 is a “main holiday,” a “separate religion,” which no longer has anything to do with historical reality.

“And if all these so-called celebrations, especially in the presence of international leaders, take place in bomb shelters to the sounds of sirens, it will turn into a national shame for the Russian Federation. But Ukraine, which they did not perceive as a serious opponent at all, is putting such pressure on them. That is why Russia is once again trying to intimidate us,” Zhmaylo said.

At the same time, he added that there are people in Ukraine who take this seriously and say that we cannot touch the parade in the Russian Federation now, we cannot attack Russia, because nuclear weapons may be used.

“These are all fakes. Russia is more afraid. And accordingly, we are preparing certain surprises. Russia is nervous about this and today’s strikes on Ukraine only confirm this,” he stressed.

According to him, strikes on Moscow often have a political purpose, demonstrating the weakness of the Kremlin regime.

“We don’t necessarily need Ukrainian UAVs to fly to Moscow and, God forbid, the leaders of countries that supposedly demonstrate their neutrality but once again side with the aggressor are injured and killed. But if there is an air alert, if the measures are disrupted, then that’s good,” the expert notes.

At the same time, he added that Ukraine will continue to strike military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation.

  1. “Ukraine is being pressured by its partners not to attack the Russian Federation’s “victorious” parade.”
What sort of partners always pressure Ukraine from doing the right thing? The mafia state kills civilians each and every night and day, yet this stupid parade should be kept safe? This is utterly spineless and deeply pathetic.
