This opinion was expressed by retired British Army colonel and famous military expert Glen Grant on Espreso . He explained that Western capitals tried to use peacetime methods to solve a wartime problem, and now they see that it did not work.

What they tried to do did not have enough effect to really influence Russia, stop the war or allow Ukraine to push back the occupiers,” – noted the colonel of the British army.
According to Grant, the Europeans now find themselves in a situation where they must begin to help from within the country to strengthen the training and resolve of Ukrainian troops.
