“I will never allow being captured again, this is 100%, & I advise anyone to not allow… There were tortures & psychological pressure. 22 women in a 3×6 meter cell, the same clothes for 2 months”—medic Tayra who returned from Russian captivity on June 17 said about experience there.
She added that “whatever you are told [in Russian captivity] is a lie. You will be accused, tortured with pain on the edge, psychological influence will be too strong, you will be told that Ukraine has already lost. The enemy cannot be trusted.”
She wants to return to the frontline soon.

“She wants to return to the frontline soon.”
And this, despite what horrors she’s been through! What a brave soul she is!
Ukrainian women have always been the backbone of Ukrainian society. Strong, independent and a take no shit attitude. Always wondered why domestic violence in Ukraine was//is an issue. Could not understand dichotomy. My father showed and taught me to never tolerate any disrespect to women. Just don’t get it.
