He expressed the conviction that Russian imperialism must be stopped, won and blocked for the future.

Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed support for the idea of Ukraine’s victory over Russia. He is convinced that a full-scale war against Ukraine “cannot end in Russia’s victory.”

Duda noted that his position regarding Russian aggression was “clear from day one.” “The Russian Federation violates international law, is an aggressor and occupier. The attack on Ukraine and the occupation of internationally recognized territories, including Crimea, is a crime,” the Polish president wrote on the social network X.

“Russian imperialism must be stopped, defeated and blocked for the future. Ukraine must win, because this war must be won by the free world. We all stand side by side for a free, sovereign and independent Ukraine against aggression and cruel imperialism,” Duda stated.

At the same time, the Polish president previously expressed the opinion that he does not know whether Ukraine will be able to regain control over the annexed Crimea. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasily Zvarych reacted to this statement. He emphasized that “Crimea is Ukraine: so it is and so it will be.” After this, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski confirmed that his country “recognizes the independence of Ukraine within its internationally established borders.”
