This was announced on the official social networks of the 3rd Army Corps. As a result of the operation, Russian armored vehicles and ammunition depots were hit.
“In response to the enemy’s statements about the complete capture of the Luhansk region, we are announcing an operation to control logistics routes in the Luhansk region and Eastern Slobozhansk region. Luhansk, Starobilsk, Alchevsk, Bryanka, Kadiivka are now under the control of the UAVs of the Third Army Corps,” said corps commander Andriy Biletsky.
Details of the operation
The operation was planned by the Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 3rd Armored Brigade of the 3rd AK “With a High”. The operation was led by a native of Luhansk Oblast, platoon commander and Hero of Ukraine, Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Ivantsov, alias “Vostok”, who in 2022 landed in the besieged Mariupol, and after completing its defense, was able to enter the territory controlled by Ukraine on his own.
“We officially declare: the occupiers no longer have safe places in the territory of Luhansk region. We will find and destroy you everywhere – even at the Izvaryne checkpoint and other sections of the border,” Ivantsov emphasized.
It is also noted that all servicemen who participated in the operation are natives of Luhansk region, as is a significant part of the unit.
As a reminder, earlier the SBU and the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a new series of strikes on rear facilities of the Russian Armed Forces in the Luhansk region. The enemy’s train, fuel tanks, field ammunition depots, and repair bases where Russian drones were serviced were targeted.
As OBOZ.UA reported, Ukrainian SBS drones previously struck a training center for Russian correction pilots in Khrustalne, Luhansk Oblast. There, in addition to their drones, the Russians were also training artillery correction pilots.
