The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 556 drones were allegedly shot down

Drones struck the Elma research and production complex in the city of Zelenograd, Moscow Region, Russian media reported.
The attack occurred on the night of May 17, resulting in a fire.
At the same time, local residents said that after the drone alert was issued, some time later they heard a loud explosion accompanied by thick black smoke rising from the complex.
As “Military” specified , this complex has an area of over 60 thousand square meters and is a place where Russian companies involved in the development and production of microelectronics carry out their activities.
It is also known that Zelenograd is located about 30-37 km northwest of the center of Moscow. The city is one of the 12 administrative districts of the capital of the Russian Federation. In addition, it is considered the main scientific and production center of Russian electronics and microelectronics.

Attack on Moscow Region
At the same time, Russian authorities reported that at least three people were killed in the strikes, and another 12 were injured in other drone strikes, Reuters reports .
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the “technological equipment” of the Moscow oil refinery was not damaged in the overnight attack, but three buildings were damaged. He said that more than 120 drones had been shot down in the past 24 hours.
In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 556 drones were shot down over the country, including the Moscow Region, overnight and into the morning.
Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov also reported that one woman died after being hit by a residential building in the city of Khimki, north of Moscow, and rescuers are trying to pull another person from the rubble.
According to him, two men died in the village of Pohorilky in the Mytishchyn district. Several multi-storey residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were also damaged.

Earlier, the General Staff clarified the results of the damage to the Ryazan refinery . They emphasized that the AVT-3, AVT-4, AT-6 processing units and the diesel fuel hydrotreating unit were damaged as a result of the strike.
According to the General Staff, the strikes on the Ryazan Refinery, which is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Russian Federation and is involved in providing fuel to the Russian occupation forces, were carried out on the night of May 15.
It was also reported that a Russian air bomb fell on a residential building near Belgorod , killing a local resident. Following the incident, authorities evacuated residents of two neighboring high-rise buildings, and residents of nearby houses were temporarily relocated from the danger zone.
