The oil refining giant, which produces over 10 million tons of fuel per year, has come under attack.

On the night of October 4, drones struck one of the key facilities of the Russian energy infrastructure – the Kirishinefteorgsintez (KINEF) oil refinery in the city of Kirishi, Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation.
According to Russian Telegram channels and the governor of the region, Oleksandr Drozdenko, a fire broke out in the industrial zone, and emergency services were involved in extinguishing the fire.
Drozdenko claims that Russian air defenses allegedly shot down seven enemy drones. Local residents reported on social media that the plant was the main target of the attack. According to eyewitnesses, there were at least four “arrivals” at the enterprise.
