In Orenburg, Russia, drones attacked the largest logistics warehouse in Russia, the Ozon marketplace . Video of the attack, as well as footage of a column of smoke, is being published online.
Local authorities also confirmed the attack. Orenburg Mayor Albert Yumadilov said that several UAVs were shot down in an area where industrial enterprises are located, and that debris fell on the territory of the Ozon logistics complex.
Ozon has also confirmed that its warehouse was affected. It is reported that about 300 employees were evacuated, and the goods that were at the facility were temporarily removed from the marketplace window. The acceptance of new deliveries from sellers to the Orenburg warehouse has also been suspended.
Judging by the videos and photos from the scene published by eyewitnesses, the fire is localized in nature. However, the extent of the damage is still unknown.
The Ozon logistics complex in Orenburg covers an area of over 200,000 square meters. It is located in the territory of the Orenburg Region special economic zone.
This is the second Ozon warehouse in two days to be attacked by Ukrainian drones. On the night of August 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Ozon logistics hub in Chapayevsk, Samara Oblast, Russia, causing a massive fire.
