On the night of August 28, explosions erupted in several Russian regions amid drone attacks. Oil refineries were once again targeted.
Explosions rocked the Novokuybyshevsk refinery in the Samara region and the Afipsk refinery in the Krasnodar region, according to monitoring Telegram channels.
Details of attacks on refineries
At night, the Russians imposed temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft in Samara. Restrictions were also imposed on mobile internet. Some time after the restrictions were imposed, powerful explosions erupted in Novokuibyshevsk.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the UAV hit the territory of the oil refinery, causing a large fire there.

Initially, local residents wrote that the Novokuybyshev refinery in the Samara region was attacked. However, it turned out that the Kuybyshev refinery in Samara was attacked.
In addition to the Samara region, suicide drones struck the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. There, the Afipsky refinery was once again the target of the attack. Local authorities claimed that air defense forces allegedly shot down all targets, but eyewitnesses published photos confirming that the UAVs reached their targets.

What is known about the refinery?
Novokuibyshevsk Refinery has been part of the Samara Refinery Group of Rosneft since 2007. The design capacity for oil refining is from 7.9 to 8.8 million tons per year. It is the most powerful enterprise among the plants of the Samara group of Rosneft.
Afipsky Refinery is part of the Safmar group. The design capacity for oil refining is 6.25 million tons per year, but according to some data, the actual refining reaches 7.17 million tons. After modernization, including the construction of a hydrocracking complex and a delayed coking unit, the Russians planned to increase the depth of refining to 98%, and the yield of light petroleum products to 88%. The refinery is one of the key ones in the south of Russia, playing a strategic role in providing fuel, in particular, to military equipment. It specializes in the production of diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.

Recall that strike drones attacked the Russian city of Syzran , where a refinery was hit. They hit an important facility for the aggressor, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
As OBOZ.UA reported, a powerful explosion occurred on the Ryazan-Moscow main oil pipeline in the Ryazan region on August 26. The Russians used this facility as one of the main sources of oil products to the capital of the aggressor state.

I really enjoy seeing mafia refineries going up in smoke. I am greedy, I want more.
