Moscow, Russia, came under attack by drones on the night of May 28. Local authorities in the Russian capital are claiming a large number of “downed” drones, while residents are posting videos of explosions and fires in the Elma-Zelenograd technopark, where 150 enterprises and companies are located.
There is no information yet on the exact consequences of the attack. However, there are reports online about a possible attack on a microelectronics factory.
Russian media outlets began reporting explosions and drone flights in one of Moscow’s districts, Zelenograd, closer to the morning of May 28. As of 04:10 in the morning, as one of the Z-channels wrote, local residents counted at least six “loud sounds.”
“Black smoke is visible in one of the districts. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to attack the capital with “Feb” type drones… In the 4th microdistrict, smoke is visible from the industrial zone. According to eyewitnesses, the air defense system over the city was activated,” the report states.
Meanwhile, the independent Russian publication ASTRA, having collected eyewitness accounts and analyzed videos that appeared online, clarified that the explosions occurred in the Elma-Zelenograd technopark. A fire broke out there.
ASTRA also clarified that, according to information from the technopark website, “the main types of activities of resident enterprises of the Elma-ZELENOGRAD technopark are: production of electronic products, production of control and measuring instruments, optical equipment, processing of various materials, research and development activities, the field of information technologies, production of consumer goods.”
More than 150 residents have settled on 6 hectares of territory, journalists add.
