Drones Attack Russian Samara: Oil Refinery Burns, Media Reports (Video)

Ukrainian drones have already struck this enterprise several times.

On the night of Tuesday, September 22, Ukraine launched a drone attack on the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara, Russia. A fire broke out on the refinery’s premises, Astra reports , citing its OSINT analysis.

Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed the attack on the region. He claimed that Russian air defense systems had destroyed “dozens of drones.”

A Russian official wrote that the drones’ target was an industrial facility. He did not report a fire at the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery.

The publication noted that this refinery has been repeatedly attacked. In March 2024, drones damaged one of the refinery’s units, halting production. In August 2025, the plant also suspended operations after Ukrainian shelling. A similar attack occurred on June 10, 2026.
