According to the minister, Ukraine has established production of FPV drones, attack copter-bombers, kamikaze aircraft, long-range deepstrike drones and reconnaissance wing drones.

This year, Ukrainian-made drones covered more than 96% of the Defense Forces’ needs, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said .

According to him, in 2024, Ukraine significantly developed its own defense-industrial complex, among other things, the drone industry was noticeably developed.

As Umerov noted, this area has reached unprecedented production levels this year.

“96.2% – that is the share of all UAVs for the Defense Forces that Ukrainian drones made up this year,” the minister wrote on Facebook.

Thus, according to his information, thanks to the orders of the Ministry of Defense, domestic production has met the key needs of soldiers, while at the same time, dependence on supplies from partners has been reduced.

In particular, in 2024, Ukrainian enterprises manufactured and assembled:

• more than 1.5 million FPV drones (together with the State Security Service of the Russian Federation),
• attack copters-bombers,
• kamikaze planes,
• reconnaissance wing drones,
• Long-range deepstrike drones.

“Such figures indicate a new level of efficiency in the interaction between the state and Ukrainian UAV manufacturers. Cooperation with domestic enterprises will be our priority in 2025 as well,” Umerov added.

As UNIAN reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has seriously increased the production of ammunition and drones , and is also developing a new ballistic missile and increasing the production of artillery. According to him, in the first half of 2024, Ukraine produced 25 times more ammunition for artillery and mortars than in the whole of 2022. The country can now produce 4 million drones annually, the head of state said.
