The Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra priests told about the miracle that prevented the Assumption Cathedral from being further destroyed during the massive Russian attack

“Undoubtedly, there is no doubt that this rain became God’s blessing and a sign of God’s mercy to our monastery. Indeed, immediately after the “Shahed” hit the Assumption Cathedral, it started to rain.
It became less and less, then more, but it continued practically until the rescuers completely extinguished the fire. And in the morning, around 8 a.m., the weather began to improve. And now, by the end of the day, the weather is clear,” said Bishop Avraamiy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Vicar of the Lavra, in a comment for TSN.ua.
According to him, the morning rainbow, which could be seen on the territory of the monastery, is also considered by the clergy to be a sign of grace.

“This is confirmation that God is with Ukraine. The part of the cathedral near the altar took the hit,” he says.
In turn, the head of the Synodal Information and Educational Department of the UOC, Metropolitan Kliment, noted that what was done against the Lavra is a sin condemned by the church.

“The Ukrainian Orthodox Church strongly condemns Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and the destruction of shrines. God does not bless wars. He Himself sacrificed Himself for humanity to grant it eternal life,” he said on the UOC Telegram channel.
In a comment for TSN.ua, he added: “God is a God of peace, and all actions related to aggression, to what creates a threat to people, are a sin that is unequivocally condemned by the Bible, and therefore by the church.
Everything that happened tonight is terrible, and we categorically condemn all actions related to the bombing of Ukraine. We are grateful to God that no people were injured in the Lavra, that the representatives of the State Emergency Service took the necessary actions in time to save the Assumption Cathedral, which was being rebuilt in 2000 by the monks of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, the brotherhood led by its abbot.

Commenting on the appearance of the rainbow, Clement replied: “I want to tell believers that one should not pay attention to the rainbow. One should pay attention to pleasing God by fulfilling his commandments.” He called the appearance of the rainbow a natural phenomenon, usually explained by meteorologists.

The rainbow might be explainable by science but the timing of the rain could be another miracle at that monastery. God bless Ukraine and her Lavra.
At the same time, moscow was subjected to huge floods.
