Winter of Death? Trump’s MALIGN Role in Ukraine’s Critical Hour!
Silicon Bites Ep410 | 2026-10-03 | Trump is doing everything to help Putin win his war, before summer of next year. Does he have a sense that Russia will struggle to mount new offensive operations beyond that point? Or do his hubris and delusion suggest to him that Ukrainians will capitulate after a cold winter of being battered daily? He could not be more wrong – every strike, every atrocity only serves to remind Ukrainians, that there is no worse fate, than to be occupied by Russia.
This winter period is crucial – Putin thinks he can win, and Trump is creating the space and context for this to happen. We need to be truthful and clear-eyed. This is no more nor less than being complicit in the horrific genocidal slaughter of Ukrainians, ahead of winter. Russia is preparing the ground for a genocidal act – the attempt to make Ukrainian cities unliveable. Trump’s decisions, policies and rhetoric have produced identifiable advantages for Moscow and imposed greater immediate costs on Ukraine and U.S. allies than on Russia, since 2025.

Russia may think this ends when the shooting stops, it doesn’t.
From civilian infrastructure in Kyiv to torture, imprisonment, destroyed homes and stolen lives, the evidence is being documented and the legal machinery is already moving.
My own case has taken four years to reach the European Court of Human Rights. If we succeed, others may have a pathway to follow.
The battlefield is only one front, the next one is in Europe’s courts, and eventually the question becomes, who pays?
That’s where the saga of Russia’s frozen assets starts getting very interesting.

Along with escalation of Russian teггor against Ukraine, we also see another russian 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐰𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 unfolding.
Which, rather conveniently, calls on Ukraine itself to stop the war. 🥴
Ukraine cannot end a war 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭.
And Ukraine cannot agree to “peace” that no one is actually offering it.
Enough with the illusions:
☝️ Russia hasn’t achieved its main goals by military means. So what remains is trying to break Ukraine’s will through daily shelling of Ukrainian cities and teггor against civilians, while simultaneously pushing pro-Russian narratives about capitulation.
That’s it.
Yes, it will be hard. But Ukraine has proven time and again that it knows how to adapt and hold out.
So support those holding the front line. Support Ukraine. Donate to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And consider the only “alternative” is:
For Ukraine to accept Russia’s terms.
Capitulation.
Surrender the territories Russia has already written into its constitution.
And then comes occupaтion. Filьгation. Puгges. Repгєssion. Foгced Russification.
We’ve already seen what this looks like in occupied Ukrainian territories.
And in 10 or 20 years, Ukrainian children will be serving in the Russian army – by then the most experienced drone fighting force in the world – sent westward to invade Poland for the next set of supposedly “historical territories.”
That’s the “peace” being offered.
So the choice is yours.
Ariana Gic :
The UN Human Rights chief reports a human rights catastrophe with 15,280 civilians killed and injured in Ukraine in the first 8 months of 2026 – on average more than 400 every week, and 55% more than in the same period in 2025. Russia kills or injures more than 400 Ukrainians EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!

What is happening in Ukraine is a slow motion genocide, as I have repeatedly pointed out here and in other publications. These deliberate mass murdering of civilians, documented torture and kidnapping of tens of thousands of children have been ongoing for over 4 and 1/2 years. The anti-genocide crowds are strangely silent when it comes to Ukraine.
In reply to Richard:
Marxist filth, izlamonazi filth and far right filth like Carlson etc have all aligned to create a massive lie : “genocide”in Gaza.
But these cuntz are silent about the very real genocide being inflicted by satanic putlerstan in Ukraine, with the collusion of tovarisch Krasnov and his putrid regime.

‘In recent days, #VladimirPutin has intensified his campaign of murder and terror in #Ukraine. Also, #PresidentTrump has invited Putin to attend the #G20 meeting in #Florida this coming December.
The secretary of state, #MarcoRubio, said, “We think it’s an opportunity for him to engage, not just with the president, but with other world leaders. We hope that’s an invitation he’ll accept.”
Putin can “engage” with them whenever he wants—by phone, perhaps. But at a G20 meeting, while his hands are soaked in blood? The old Rubio would have cried bloody murder.
#Trump, however, has always wanted #Putin to resume his place at international gatherings, without preconditions.
As soon as he became president in 2017, he wanted Putin to return to the #G7, making it the G8 again.
The #UnitedStates and other members had suspended #Russia from the group after its invasion of Ukraine in 2014.
But Trump wanted Russia readmitted, without any change “on the ground”—specifically, Ukrainian ground.
From the G7 summit in 2018, held in #Canada, Trump said, “This used to be the G8, not the G7. And something happened a while ago, where Russia is no longer in.” That “something” was Russia’s invasion of a neighbor.
Putin has not been to a G20 meeting since 2019. He attended the one in 2014, held in Australia months after the Russian invasion. He was mingling with other leaders, slapping backs. When he got to the Canadian prime minister, #StephenHarper, he extended his hand.
After a second or two, Harper took it, saying, “Well, Vladimir, I’ll shake your hand, but I really have only one thing to say to you, and that is, get out of Ukraine.”
Putin smirked that smirk of his and said, “Well, I’m not in Ukraine.” Harper then said, “That’s why it’s a waste of my time to talk to you.”
(I got this account from Harper in a 2018 podcast.)
What manner of man, what manner of leader, are we inviting to Florida?
[….]
Vladimir Putin is not a normal head of state or government. Every day, he directs a war of conquest, filled with atrocities. War crime after #warcrime.
Obviously, #democraticgovernments often have to deal with monsters such as Putin in the diplomatic realm. But they do not have to invite these monsters to routine international gatherings.
In 1931, Nancy Astor, the British parliamentarian, met #Stalin and had a question for him: “When are you going to stop killing people?” That is the central question, screamingly urgent.’

Peter J. Worswick :
For the people driving Russia’s war on Ukraine, the personal cost of stopping the war is still far higher than the cost of continuing it.
That is the reality Western governments keep refusing to confront.
This isn’t a war about borders, it’s about whether Ukraine continues to exist as an independent country with its own language, culture and identity. In the territories Russia occupies, Ukrainian books are destroyed, institutions abolished, Russian law and education imposed, and people pressured into Russian passports; that is erasure.
Putin has never hidden this objective; he is prepared to keep paying the price because his internal systems are holding. Russia still produces weapons, gets Western origin components through third countries and sanctions evasion networks, and uses China to keep the system running.
The elite around him are not breaking; if anything they are being bound tighter together. Seized Western assets are being redistributed inside Russia on a scale not seen for decades. With safe Western exits sharply narrowed, internal loyalty is still the safest option they have.
That’s why nothing is forcing them to stop.
Sanctions that leave their core positions intact are incomplete. Military aid that doesn’t threaten the political survival and core assets of the drivers of the war is incomplete. Statements change nothing. After twelve years, Russia is still bombing Ukrainian cities, occupying Ukrainian land, and trying to erase everything Ukrainian.
Western governments have spent years asking what Ukraine needs. It is not enough.
We are still missing the cost that would make continuing this war riskier for the regime rather than ending it. Not just economic inconvenience or reputational damage. It must be a personal and political cost that the circle around Putin cannot absorb and still keep their positions, wealth and safety.
Until that cost is imposed, the system will keep functioning and Ukrainians will keep paying the price.
That is the pressure point still being avoided. It is the one that changes the outcome.
